The collection and processing of personal data
General information on data processing
We collect and use personal data of our users only in so far as it is required to provide a functional website and its content and services. The personal data is generally collected and used only after the respective user of the website has given his or her consent.
An exception applies where it is not possible for practical reasons to obtain prior consent and the processing of the data is permitted by law and necessary for the functionality of the website.
Provision of the website and the creation of log files
When you visit our website, our system automatically collects data and information sent by the browser used on your computer to the server of our website (so-called log files).
The access logs of the website server record which pages you have requested and when. They record the following data: IP address, directory protection user, date, time, pages requested, logs, status code, the data quantity, referrer URL, user agent, requested host name. The IP addresses are anonymised before being saved. The anonymised IP adresses are stored for 60 days. Information on the directory protection user is anonymised after one day.
Error logs, which record failed attempts to access pages, are deleted after seven days. As well as logging the errors, these record the IP address of the accessing computer and, depending on the error, the website requested.
When you contact us by e-mail via our website, mail logs are created. These data are anonymised after one day and then stored for 60 days. In the anonymisation process, all data relating to the sender and receiver are deleted. Only the data concerning the time at which the mail was sent and the information on how the e-mail was processed remain (queue ID or not sent).
The collection of data for the provision of the website and the storage of the data in log files are essential for the operation of the website. Consequently there is no possibility of objection on the part of the user.
If you contact us by e-mail, personal data will be collected. In contacting us by e-mail, you are giving us your consent to the processing and use of your personal data for the purposes of dealing with your enquiry (e.g. sending you brochures). The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected.
You may revoke any consent given to us at any time with future effect. You can do this simply by sending an e-mail to email@example.com. All personal data we have saved in the course of the communication will in this case be deleted.
